Sana Makbul also known as Sana Khan, is an Indian actress. She started her career with modeling. After modeling she went on to act in Hindi television series. She is best known for her roles as Lavanya in Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon? and Riya in Arjun. Before venturing into films, she participated at the Femina Miss India beauty pageant. In 2014, she made her Telugu film debut in Dikkulu Choodaku Ramayya, changing her screen name to Sana Makbul.
Sana was born and raised into a Muslim family in Mumbai, Maharashtra. She has done her graduation from National College. Her best friend is fellow Television actress, Priyal Gor. Her father is malyali muslim and her mother saeeda is from Mumbai. Sana Khan is best known for her appearances in ad film.
Sana Makbul began her career in modeling and then appeared in advertisements and TV shows. In 2009, she first appeared in the reality show MTV Scooty Teen Diva. It landed her a short role in the teen musical series Ishaan: Sapno Ko Awaaz De. She was next seen in the second season of the TV serial Kitani Mohabbat Hai. After that she played the role of Lavanya Kashyap in the Star Plus serial Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon. Than she played the role of Riya Mukherjee in criminal investigation series Arjun. She subsequently participated in Femina Miss India and won the title Femina Miss Beautiful Smile 2012. She played the role of Samhitha in Dikkulu Choodaku Ramayya. She has also signed her first Tamil film, Rangoon directed by Rajkumar Periasamy.
