Nimrat Kaur was born on 13^th march 1982 in Pilani, Rajasthan. Her father was in the Indian army and a martyr in the 1994 Kashmir attack. Because of her father’s army service she traveled to many cities and spent her childhood in Bhatinda and Patiala before finally moving to Noida and settling there after her father passed away. Kaur finished her schooling from DPS Noida and college from Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi University. She currently resides in Mumbai and has her mother and sister in her family.

After completing her college, she moved to Mumbai to fulfill her career dreams and begin working there as a print model. A very well-known face in the TV advertisements she has ads of Boroplus, Asian paints, Cadbury silks and many more to her credit. Nimrat also starred in two music videos by Kumar Sanu and Shreya Ghosal. As a theater actress her work in Baghdad Wedding put her into picture. Her debut in Hindi movie came six year after her debut in an English movie “One Night with the King”.
